The snake plant is another great example of easy maintenance indoor gardening plant. The only real problem that most people with snake plants face is death by over watering. That makes it nice. You dont have to remember to water as often as you would with other kinds of plants. The snake plant has very low light requirements than many other plants indoors and outdoors - therefore it is suitable for virtually any indoor environment.
Organic vegetable gardening is becoming a popular hobby for people to do at their own home. With the tough economy people are doing all they can to save money and cut corners. Growing your own food is one way to do this. It also provides other benefits such as giving you lots of different foods to eat. Additionally you will have much more healthy foods than what you would be able to purchase in a store.
Another great example of a low maintenance indoor plant is the spider plant. A friend of mine has one of these (who I must mention has a real knack for killing plants) and I can testify that they are very difficult to kill. A spider plant makes great house-warming gift for a friend or family member. The spider plant likes to have medium sunlight - which is simple to achieve - even when there is very little direct sunlight that comes through your windows.
A square ended shovel is ideal for removing large amounts of earth at once but they do tend to be tougher to push into the ground. Its often useful to use them on softer earth or for transporting piles of mud that have already been formed. They also make great tools for dispensing compost and manure based fertilizer over the area you wish to focus on.
Sometimes you do not have outdoor space for a garden but desperately want one nonetheless. Or perhaps you already have a beautiful outdoor garden and because you enjoy the ambiance so much you want to be able to enjoy it all year-round. In addition you can impress your friends and family members and any other guests with the distinct and decorative look of an indoor garden in your home.
